Post-nor'easter
Finally getting out of the house and running some errands. We are getting a view of what the storm did to our part of Virginia Beach.
The worst impact we saw from the storm was Natalie's ornamental flagpole was sheered off almost clean by the wind. And it is wet outside. Very wet. Natalie said it was like getting a mini-facial everytime we went outside. It is misty.
There are houses with damage to their siding or roof. A lot of fences are down. There are branches everywhere. A couple of trees are down but nothing really bad. Its not like Isabel where everything was knocked over and ripped out of the ground, but Isabel didn't last this long, either.
The reports of flooding may actually be worse than the flooding from Isabel. We haven't been affected by the flooding, but there is a lot more standing water in the area. In fields and yards.
The important thing is that everyone is OK. I'm just upset that I'm not traveling to Bristol for Brian's bachelor party.
