Most simply put, Uru is a MMORPG by Cyan Worlds, the creators of the Myst series of games. The setting for the game is a city located in a cavern about 3 miles under the New Mexico desert discovered by people about ten years ago.

In Cavern posts are in the character of a someone exploring the city. Out of Cavern contains posts about the IC posts, posts about real world events related to but outside of the game and anything else that would break the mood of the game. The terms are from Cyan and their similarity to 'in character' and 'out of character' are intentional.
